Location and Access
The location of Brown's Hotel, on a peaceful 18th-century London street in the heart of Mayfair, is unrivalled. The hotel is just minutes from the elegant designer stores of Bond Street, the art galleries of Cork Street and St James's, the vibrant theatres of the West End and the calm, open spaces of Green Park, not to mention the City which is a short taxi ride away.
More importantly, Brown's Hotel is playing a central role in the emergence of Mayfair as a hip part of London. This exclusive area is becoming known as WoBo (West of Bond Street) with many fashionable designers such as Paul Smith, David Linley, John Rocha and the Dover Street Market a stones throw from the hotel.
However, you will still find old favourites close at hand. Just a minute's stroll from Brown's is the crown jewellers Garrard's, The Royal Academy of Arts and the internationally famous food emporium Fortnum & Mason, together with the exclusive shops of the charming Burlington Arcade.
Head west along Piccadilly and if you wander south through the lush expanse of Green Park, you will reach Buckingham Palace. A little further to the west is Hyde Park and the Serpentine Lake, plus the famous shopping area of Knightsbridge. Here, you will find Harvey Nichols and a feast of excellent, top-quality shops including, of course, the inimitable Harrods.
Eastwards along Piccadilly is vibrant Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, the heart of London's theatreland, and beyond, to the north, Soho and Chinatown. A short walk further on brings you to Covent Garden with its opera house, restaurants and covered market.
For those staying at Brown's on business, the hotel is just 20 minutes away on the Jubilee underground to Canary Wharf or a taxi ride away from the City. Brown's nearest underground station is Green Park.
London is served by many stations, depending on your point of origin. Kings Cross serves the North East and Scotland; Euston the North and North West; Victoria the South and South East; Paddington the West and St Pancras the continent via the Eurostar.
A short walk from Green Park Underground Station, served by the Victoria, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines.
London is served by many airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and London City, with Luton & Stansted situated a little further away. There are also a number of private airports such as Farnborough, Biggin Hill and Northolt.
The Gatwick Express takes you to Victoria train station and the Heathrow Express to Paddington train station, both of which are a short taxi ride from the hotel.
