Location and Access
The Hotel de Rome is located in the heart of Berlin, in the former eastern part known as Mitte. The hotel is situated on Bebelplatz, off Unter den Linden, opposite the Humboldt University and next to the State Opera House. The Brandenburg Gate is a five-minute walk away.
By train:
Hauptbahnhof Central railway station is around 3 km from the hotel, approximately a ten minute taxi ride away.
By Air:
Berlin is served by two main airports. Tegel International Airport is 13 km from the hotel (approximately 25 minutes by taxi) and Schönefeld International Airport is 20 km from the hotel (approximately 40 minutes by taxi).
By car:
From the North:
Coming from the A24 from Hamburg, cross the Dreieck Havelland onto the A10 towards Oranienburg. At the Oranienburg triangle, turn onto the A111 going towards Reinickendorf. From here, take the exit Kaiserdamm, turn left onto Knobelsdorffstrasse and make another right onto Sophie-Charlotten-Strasse. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Kaiserdamm. Two roundabouts will follow; take the 2nd exit on each before seeing the Brandenburger Tor in front of you. Right in front of the Brandenburger Tor, take a left onto Ebertstrasse (direction Reichstag) and then a right onto Dorotheenstrasse. Take another right onto Wilhelmstrasse and continue going straight until you cross Unter den Linden. Then turn left onto Behrenstrasse and follow it until the end.
From the South:
Coming from the A13 from Dresden, pass the Autobahnkreuz Schönefeld and you will automatically reach the A113 towards Berlin. At the Treptow triangle, take the B179 towards Treptow. Follow the road on the right hand side, past the Treptower Park on the left and continue to the U-Bahn Station Schlesisches Tor. Turn left onto Skalitzer Strasse, and after about 3.5 km turn onto Wilhelmstrasse. After having crossed Leipziger Strasse, continue going straight, then turn right onto Behrenstrasse and follow until the end.
From the West:
Coming from Hannover, the A2 or Munich, you can reach us by coming to Berlin Zentrum by passing the triangles Werder and Drewitz. Keep right towards Charlottenburg at the television tower, and at the exit Kaiserdamm, turn right onto Knobelsdorffstrasse. Take another right onto Sophie-Charlotten-Strasse.
