Location and Access
The Hotel de Russie is located in the heart of Rome, in Via del Babuino next to Piazza del Popolo and close to the famous Spanish Steps. Fashionable boutiques, the main cultural and historical attractions of the city and restaurants and Roman nightlife are all within walking distance.
By train:
The main station is Termini Central Train Station. To get to the hotel, you can take a taxi, which are available in front of the main entrance (estimated cost: €15). Alternatively, Subway Line A in the direction of Battistini will stop at Flaminio – Piazza del Popolo (the fifth stop). Cross the Arch of Porta Flaminia and you will be at Piazza del Popolo. With the Twin Churches in front of you, keep to your left in Via del Babuino and after a few metres, the Hotel de Russie is on your left.
By air:
Rome is served by Fiumicino International Airport (Leonardo da Vinci), and Ciampino International Airport, and receives flights from all major international cities. To get to the hotel from Fiumicino Airport by train, follow the signs for the Express Train. There is a fast train called “Leonardo da Vinci Express” non-stop to Termini Train Station that takes about 45 minutes. Tickets are €11 one way.
By car:
From FIUMICINO INTERNATION AIRPORT (LEONARDO DA VINCI):
30km/40 min. From the airport, join the A91 (Roma-Fiumicino), and after 13km take the A90 (GRA) in the direction of Firenze/SS1 Aurelia. Continue for other 6.5km and take exit SS1 Aurelia (Exit 1) on your right. Go straight for 3km, and at the traffic light, keep left on Via Baldo degli Ubaldi. After another 1.1km, take Via Angelo Emo for 0.9km, then take Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie and continue along Via Candia for 0.5km. Take Viale Giulio Cesare for 1.2km, and turn right Via Virginio Orsini. After 0.3km, turn right again arriving to Piazza della Libertà. After 0.2km, continue along Ponte Regina Margherita for 0.1km and take Via Ferdinando di Savoia. Keep going straight until the end, where you turn right towards Piazza del Popolo. Continue along Via di Ripetta and take the first left onto Via Angelo Brunetti. Continue along Via della Fontanella until the end and you’ll be on
Via del Babuino. Turn left. The entrance of the Hotel de Russie is on your right after few metres, at number 9.
From CIAMPINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
30km/40 min. From the airport, join SS7 for 3.5km then take Via Appia Nuova and keep going for 12km. to Piazzale Appio. Cross the arches of Piazzale Appio. Turn left towards the Basilica di San Giovanni. At the traffic light in Piazza San Giovanni turn left towards Via dell’Ambaradam. At the third traffic light in Piazza Numa Pompilio, turn right on Via delle Terme di Caracalla. (you will see the Roman Baths on your left). At the traffic light, keep going straight with the Circo Massimo on your left side. Turn left at the traffic light and first right. Go straight at the next traffic light to join Lungotevere Aventino. Follow the street with the river on your left for 3km. Keep on straight until Ponte Regina Margherita where you turn right in Via Ferdinando di Savoia. Keep going straight until the end where you turn right towards Piazza del Popolo.
Continue along Via di Ripetta for less than 0.1km, then take the first left onto Via Angelo Brunetti. Continue along Via della Fontanella until the end and you’ll be on Via del Babuino. Turn left. The entrance of the Hotel de Russie is on your right after few metres, at number 9.
From the North
From the highway A1, reach the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) in the direction of Cassia/Aurelia. Take exit 7, and head towards Flaminia SS3 and continue for 0.3km. Continue along Via Flaminia for 2km, and take Via Flaminia Nuova for 0.8km. Turn right Viale di Tor di Quinto and after 2.5km, turn right onto Via Civita Castellana. Continue along Corso di Francia, Viale Marseciallo Pilsudski, Piazzale Ankara, Piazzale Manila - about 2km total. Turn Left on Via Flaminia and after 0.5km, turn right on Piazzale delle Belle Arti for 0.1km. Continue along Lungotevere delle Armi, Piazza delle Cinque giornate, Lungotevere Michelangelo, Lungotevere dei Mellini,
Piazza della Libertà and Ponte Regina Margherita (less than 2km in total) and take Via Ferdinando di Savoia for 0.2km. Keep going straight until the end, where you turn right towards Piazza del Popolo. Continue along Via di Ripetta for less than 0.1km, then take the first left onto Via Angelo Brunetti. Continue along Via della Fontanella until the end and you’ll be on Via del Babuino. Turn left. The entrance of the Hotel de Russie is on your right after few metres, at number 9.
From the South
From the highway A1, reach the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) in the direction of Cassia/Aurelia. Take exit 7, and head towards Flaminia SS3 and continue for 0.3km.
