The home of the Renaissance is an unsurprisingly romantic, cultured and stylish city. Designer Olga Polizzi recognised the latter, incorporating quirky images of designer shoes into the aesthetic of the Hotel Savoy, which overlooks the elegant Piazza della Repubblica. Florence is home to an impressive number of historically important artworks, form the works of Boticelli in the Uffizi Gallery to Michaelangelo’s iconic statue of David in the Galleria del Accademia.
